Kelly & Michael’s Belcroft Estates Wedding

November 11, 2019

Kelly & Michael’s Belcroft Estates Wedding was as romantic as it was fun and care-free!

When Kelly first reached out to me regarding wedding photography, she told me unposed moments were important to her. She mentioned that they were super chill people, and wanted photos that reflected that. Kelly & Michael were so fun to be around, and I had the best time capturing their wedding!

We started the day with Michael getting ready in the coolest vintage garage. A short walk away, Kelly and her bridesmaids sipped champagne in the bridal suite at Belcroft Estates. Once Kelly was in her dress, we did a first look with her father–it was so sweet and full of emotion.

When we arrived at Belcroft Estates I knew they had chosen the perfect location. Belcroft is all-around a super cool wedding venue, and I was excited to be back. There are so many spots on the property to capture perfect moments–such as the dock at the pond, and the tree-lined lane-way. Their intimate ceremony took place under a charming gazebo. Afterward, we took a stroll around the property to capture some private moments. We had some amazing moody lighting from the late afternoon sun shining through the trees.

The reception was held in the charming Century Barn, filled with string lights and classic blue and gold décor. One of my favourite moments of the night was when the bride and groom got ‘iced’ during their speech! For those of you not familiar with this tradition, the bride and groom had to chug back a can of Smirnoff Ice. The night ended off with a romantic first dance in the courtyard. Friends and family gathered around the balcony to watch the couple as they danced under the night sky.

It was an honour to capture Kelly and Michael’s wedding day and I wish them the best on their new life together!
