When Carly & Jamie booked their wedding date, they had no idea it was on Thanksgiving. But there really isn’t a better way to spend Thanksgiving, than having everyone you love in the same room to celebrate.
The day was calling for lots of rain, but thankfully enough, it only rained in the evening (it did stop just in time for their sparkler first dance though)! Because of this storm threat, they moved their ceremony indoors, which turned out to be just as beautiful!
Carly & Jamie’s wedding was anything but ordinary and had so many personal touches through the day. During their ceremony, they served refreshments and popcorn (how cool is that?!), and brought along their hockey jerseys to take photos in. One of my favourite personal touches was the cake-shaped piñata they smashed instead of doing a cake cutting! They served a family style turkey dinner, had a one-man live band, and their family organized a surprise flash mob.
I left this wedding feeling SOOO grateful and happy. The energy of the day was so cheerful, even though the weather was gloomy. Cheers to these two for knowing how to throw one epic party, and for remembering that personal touches make your wedding unique and special.
